You have been humiliated, shamed, emotionally traumatized, hurt, or physically damaged beyond repair. For any of these reasons, and perhaps some in combination, you are positive that forgiveness is beyond your grasp. What the other person did to you is unforgivable. You may even deem what you have done to yourself, or to another, as unforgivable. So, you choose to “forget” about it (as if that’s possible) and move on to a new job, a new relationship, a new location…you’ll just start fresh. But, every time you think of that situation it near eats you alive. The same emotions that you experienced at the time of the event rush back in like a tidal wave and threaten to swallow you whole.
Newsflash: You can’t start fresh without forgiveness.
It doesn’t matter how much you grow, change, improve or advance if you still have those burning emotions rumbling under the facade of your happiness.
Love flows, but it can’t flow through the low-frequency muck of anger, resentment and shame. Do yourself a favor and change YOUR perception of what occurred. That person who hurt you (even if it was you!) was wrapped up in their own ego and didn’t know about the laws of the nature. You understand that what you put out there comes back to you, so send them love. Send them love for you, so that when you think of them, you think of love and keep yourself in that high-frequency space. Send them love so that love flows back to you and fills your heart with the grace of peace.
You are worthy. You are deserving. You are forgiven.
May it be so!
Much love and many blessings!
