Working with the Holy Spirit, I help people with chronic disease to clear their fears, manage their thoughts and transform their lives. I help them to heal.
“But, I thought you were a nutritionist?” they ask.
Oh, I am a nutritionist, that’s true. I am also a minister, a teacher, a writer and a supplement specialist. If we really want to go wild with the titles, you could also call me a wife, mother, sister, daughter, niece, aunt (a rather fabulous aunt, I might add) and a friend. I’m sure you have a lot of titles, too. Those are not what make us unique, though. There are billions of people in the world who can also claim them. What makes us who we are is the individual spark of the divine within each of us that leads us to use our titles and gifts to make a contribution.
I have a masters degree in holistic nutrition, but I’m going to tell you a little secret. Being a nutritionist doesn’t feed my soul. If I had to sit in an office and only talk nutrition with my clients, I would die of frustration and they would just think of me as yet another health practitioner. Sure, I’m passionate about it, but what really gets me jazzed is seeing my clients transform before my eyes. Chronic diseases, such as obesity, pain, depression, fibromyalgia, IBS and cancer are exhausting. They wear a person down by interfering in their life; spoiling time with friends and family, and keeping them from participating in activities that a healthy person takes for granted. Imagine for a second not being able to leave your home because of chronic diarrhea, or needing three hours to shower because you have to lay down between drying your hair, applying your makeup and dressing yourself. I had a client who had to bring her own food everywhere because anything else made her sick. Imagine never eating in a restaurant again! It’s not easy or fun.
I treat everyone with dignity and respect, and because of the work I do, I know that my clients need more than nutritional guidance if they are going to heal. It’s not enough to alleviate the symptoms if clients return to their original behaviors when the nutritionist isn’t around to keep them on track. I like to get to the root of the problem. Things that happen over the course of our lives can get lodged in our energy field. They can cause blocks that leave us stuck in patterns that no longer serve our highest good. In plain English, we have fears, resentments and hurt feelings that cause us to sabotage our own lives, regardless of how much we want to have health, happiness and prosperity.
So, what do I do exactly? First and foremost, I listen. You know your body and mind better than I do. Next, I educate, because I know a lot about nutrition and supplementation (remember those titles? LOL). Finally, I listen to the Holy Spirit, because God knows what caused this illness to begin with, and He knows what it is that you need to heal. The miracles I have witnessed are countless (someday, I’ll write a book about that, too!), my clients are thrilled and loving life, and I just love being a part of it all. Everybody wins! If you or someone you know are struggling and are ready to move forward and create a more joyful and comfortable life, I would love to help. I hope you’ll reach out!
